18" Dark Blue and Gold Porcelain Peacock with Blossom Chinese Fishbowl Planter - CP JC18" FB

This porcelain fishbowl of 18" diameter in size is completely hand made by a ceramist in China and hand painted with a traditional blue and white motif, which was brought by the British to China in the early 18th century.

The noble families of ancient China used large bowls such as ours to protect their pond gold fish from the freezing cold of winter.

Used today as a cachepot, it gives a large plant a highly decorative place to put down roots. It contains a hand painted blue and gold color pot with two peacock displaying beautiful feather and flowers decorated in artistic way.

This comes with a Rosewood hand polished stand that can be purchased separately when required.
